Chris Ahman is a 22-year-old visual artist based in Chicago, where he received his BFA in Photography from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. His practice centers on photography and printmaking, exploring the relationship between natural light and the man-made structures that shape the city.

What began as a way to document his paintings and drawings evolved into a passion for street photography and the fleeting moments of everyday life. Alongside his studio practice, Ahman has curated exhibitions at his artist-run gallery, Gallery Armada, for fellow student artists and has had the opportunity to archive a private African American art collection, experiences that deepened his interest in preserving and sharing art within a community.
